This unique book is a summary of the author's professional knowledge in her own interpretation, but especially her many years of pedagogical experience. In a clear and comprehensible manner it explains the connection between dance and health. She introduces the reader to some of the health problems of dancers and the need and method of prevention. It deals with the principles of selected dance techniques and their creators.
The book includes over 300 pictures and professional French dance terminology and medical terminology. It also includes the basic elements of classical dance as well as other interesting topics. The book will serve not only those interested in a deeper understanding of the connection between dance and health, but it is particularly suitable for conservatory students, university students and secondary school pupils.
